My First Blog Post: Session 4: E-Learning Practices in Higher Education

 Malo e lelei. Greeting from the Kingdom of Tonga. I am ʻAkusitina Vatikani and currently teaching at Tonga National University. This is my new blog that I am writing which is one of the requirements of my PGCTT program, ED 403 course. I am very happy to be able to create this blog which is a new eLearning tool for me.  It motivates me to learn more about technology and effectively integrate into my teaching and learning for the learner's academic success in this 21st century.

Session 1 Blog Post: Technology Enabled Learning and the Future of Learning in Higher Education

  Title:   Technology Enabled Learning and the Future of Learning in Higher Education: Your Teaching Philosophy Shapes Your View Your teaching philosophy determines how you engage with technology-enabled learning. I firmly believe that learning through experience is essential and I have personally seen the benefits of using technology in my own teaching. Currently, I use both Moodle and Google Classroom to add activities and resources for my students in ED 102 and ED 301. Through consistent practice, my teaching has improved to a better standard. I have noticed that my students are enjoying the lessons and are highly engaged. When I give them a quiz, it encourages interaction and collaboration among classmates. Our institution has been very supportive by offering workshops and professional development sessions on Moodle. These have been incredibly helpful. I am now looking forward to our upcoming workshop on Turnitin, a tool that will greatly assist with assessing and marking ...
